Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician Company: Jet Midwest Location: Kansas City, Missouri, United States Position Overview Jet Midwest is a full‑service commercial aviation company specializing in the sale, lease, and maintenance of aircraft, engines, and parts. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will join the Materials Operations Team at the Kansas City International Airport Area, in the former TWA Overhaul Base facility. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Maintain Jet Midwest facilities and equipment at a high level of operational readiness and safety. Provide top‑notch support and assistance with maintenance tasks. Assist the team with daily work assignments, vendor communication, work ticketing system, scheduling, preventive maintenance checklist reviews, and progress reporting. Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance on the facility, including ground support equipment, company tooling, safety equipment, and building systems. Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair structures and equipment. Operate motorized lift equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts. Perform and support hot work/welding and fabrication tasks. Other duties as assigned. Experience performing systems maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial equipment. 0‑1 year of experience and knowledge of: Overhead garage door maintenance Reading schematics, drawings, hydraulic and wiring diagrams General carpentry Warehouse shelving installation and maintenance Gantry cranes, rigging, and lifting Hot work/welding Steam heating systems Physical Demands & Work Environment The role involves frequent bending, reaching, climbing stairs/ladders, working high off the ground, standing, walking for extended periods, working in tight spaces, grasping tools and parts, crouching or crawling, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Appropriate safety equipment, including respirators, may be required.
