Position Summary As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Contract Evaluator at Blackbird Health, you will deliver evidence-based diagnostic assessments that build a clear, comprehensive picture of a child's developmental and communication needs. Operating in a hybrid model (2 days on-site per week for our Frederick and Gaithersburg, MD locations, with remote telehealth flexibility), you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of specialty providers to shape individualized care plans for the children and families we serve. Please note: This is a diagnostic evaluation-only role and does not involve providing ongoing therapy or treatment sessions. What makes you, you: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficient in navigating electronic medical record systems and other technology. Familiarity with evidence-based practice and commitment to staying up to date with the latest research and clinical practices. Ability to maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations Strong time management and organizational skills. Proficient in navigating electronic medical record systems and other relevant technology. Outstanding communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with patients, members of the care team, and colleagues Open to professional and clinical feedback Flexibility to adjust to a dynamic work environment. Must value operating in an innovative environment. Ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness. How you'll make an impact: Complete a set number (minimum 4 per week) of 90-minute evaluations (direct clinical service) with 30-minute documentation time (non-direct clinical service) Identify candidates for short-term intensive SLP treatment programs and complete 30 minute treatment sessions Attend team meetings (Approximately 1 hour per week) Maintain a clinical schedule including a combination of morning and evening evaluation times (8-10 am and 3-7 pm) and weekday/weekend availability. This position will focus on weekday evaluations after 3 pm EST, or weekend evaluations. The basics you’ll need: Education: Possession of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university. Licensure: valid Pennsylvania state license in Speech-Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). At least two years of experience providing speech and language services to clients, preferably in a clinical setting, with experience in telehealth. Salary Range: $55 USD - $55 USD Join us!
