Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Metal Finisher to join a precision manufacturing team in Poughkeepsie, NY. This role is responsible for preparing machined components for inspection, assembly, and shipment by removing imperfections, cleaning parts, and verifying quality standards.
The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong hand-eye coordination, and experience working with precision components in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.

Metal Finisher Responsibilities:

• Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from machined parts using hand and power tools

• Clean components using approved cleaning methods and equipment

• Inspect finished parts for defects, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality

• Document inspection results and communicate any quality concerns

• Handle and store parts properly to prevent damage

• Package completed components according to customer and shipping requirements

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

• Support quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience with metal finishing, deburring, cleaning, inspection, or machine shop operations preferred

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify small defects or irregularities

• Good manual dexterity and ability to work with small, precision components

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and inspection equipment

• Ability to follow work instructions and quality standards

• Strong work ethic and commitment to producing high-quality work

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Manufacturing, machining, or technical training experience is a plus
