Details Work on a 27-bed medical-surgical inpatient unit Care for patients with a variety of medical conditions as well as post-operative patients Patient population is primarily elderly but can be as young as 18 Common diagnoses include post-op ortho, general surgery, ETOH, CHF, and pneumonia RN to patient ratio of 5:1 LNA to patient ratio of 3:1 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week Every other weekend required Rotating holiday coverage required Requirements Active NH RN license or Compact RN license required, with proof of state residency BLS certification required ACLS certification preferred Minimum of 2 years of equivalent experience required Minimum of 2 previous travel assignments completed required Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required Experience with post-surgical drains required Experience with central line care and maintenance required Experience with Foley insertion required Experience with G tubes, J tubes, NG tubes, and PEG tubes required Experience with IV medication administration and IV push required Experience with wound care required Experience with O2 therapy required Epic EMR experience preferred Telemetry experience preferred Additional Information Provide medical-surgical nursing care to a diverse inpatient population including post-operative patients Local candidates are not accepted due to a 75-mile radius rule First-time travelers will not be considered given the requirement for 2 completed travel assignments American Traveler Job ID P-746500.
