Job Full Opportunity Brief Title: Associate Counsel - Melville / Nassau, NY (Remote) Category: Jobs Organiser: GEICO Description: GEICO is seeking an Associate Counsel to join its Staff Counsel team in Melville, NY. The successful candidate will defend lawsuits filed in New York courts and handle first-party insurance defense. Primary responsibilities include conducting legal research, preparing legal briefs and opinions, rendering advice on liability and damages, and managing pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions and trials. Eligibility: Applicants must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and be admitted to the New York Bar in good standing. A minimum of 2 to 6+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense or personal injury is required. Candidates must be able to travel for trials and hearings and possess strong multi-tasking and communication skills.
