# RESPIRATORY CARE PRACTITIONER (RCP)Fairfield Memorial Hospital Association - FAIRFIELD, IL 62837## OverviewSalary Range$25.00 - $26.00 HourlyPosition TypeAs Needed (PRN)Job ShiftAnyCategoryCardiopulmonary## Description**NATURE OF WORK**The Respiratory Care Practitioner provides respiratory therapy care, cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing, and life support services to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. This position performs respiratory treatments, assists in emergency and code situations, conducts diagnostic testing, educates patients and families, maintains accurate documentation, and collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient care across all age groups.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* Administering respiratory therapy treatments including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, BiPAP/CPAP, mechanical ventilation, airway clearance therapies, and patient education.* Performing cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures including EKGs, pulmonary function testing, Holter monitoring, treadmill stress testing, pulse oximetry, six-minute walk testing, and other departmental services.* Responding effectively during emergency situations, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and code events.* Accurately documenting patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.* Ensuring proper operation, calibration, and maintenance of respiratory therapy equipment.* Participating in quality improvement activities and continuing education.* Maintaining compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies and procedures.* Providing compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting excellent customer service.**COMPENSATION:** $25-$26 per hour**SCHEDULE:** As Needed**BENEFITS*** 403(b) Retirement Plan* Paid Leave for All Workers Act Leave (1 hour for every 40 hours worked)**WHAT FMH HAS TO OFFER**Fairfield Memorial Hospital provides a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well being and long term success of our team members. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status.## Qualifications**EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS*** Required: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program; Current Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner License; Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification; Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.* Preferred: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; Additional certifications related to respiratory or cardiopulmonary care.**EXPERIENCE*** Preferred: Experience in acute care, critical access hospital, emergency services, or cardiopulmonary diagnostics.**SKILLS*** Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.* Ability to perform effectively in emergency and high pressure situations.* Knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures and cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing.* Excellent communication and patient education skills.* Ability to accurately document and maintain patient records.* Strong organizational and time management skills.* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.* Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, service excellence, and patient confidentiality. #J-18808-Ljbffr
