Network Engineer

The Opportunity A well‑designed and secure network is critical to moving data and enabling the DoD to achieve its mission. Crafting the right network with the right equipment and software requires technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need a Network Engineer who knows how to craft the exact network the DoD needs. As a Network Engineer on our team, you’ll work with the DoD to develop a reliable network to support critical missions. You’ll collaborate with SME’s, customers, and users to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. You’ll then share your expertise during the planning of acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you’ll put your hardware and software talents to good use. You Have 3+ years of experience designing, deploying, and providing advanced support of multi‑protocol IP backbone and access networks 3+ years of experience deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting multi‑vendor network equipment and solutions, including VMWare, Cisco, Palo Alto, Dell, HPE, or Juniper Experience with classified networks Knowledge of security, routing, and switching protocols, including BGP, IS‑IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, STP, or L3VPNs Secret clearance HS diploma or GED Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT LevelII Certification within 6 months of start date Nice If You Have Experience with STIGing or security hardening of systems Experience with NESSUS, ACAS, or security analysis tools Experience operating, deploying, or administering Linux or Unix systems and VMWare CCNA, CCNP, VMWare, Linux, JNCIA, or JNCP Certification Security+ Certification Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required. Compensation The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The posting will close within 90 days of the posting date.
