Principal Analyst, Solutions (Platform Automation - CMDB)This job can be located anywhere within the United States. This job can be based out of any T-Mobile office location. Remote work / work from home is an option (but must work within 50 miles of a T-Mobile office for occasional office visits).The Senior/Principal Solutions Analyst is responsible for performing technical analysis and for delivering holistic solutions design for T-Mobile systems across the enterprise. This role ensures that design is complete from the customer touchpoints (UIs) all the way through to the backend systems such as billing and 3rd party systems and includes post-transaction logic such as reporting and commissions. The Solutions Analyst excels at facilitating design discussions and building consensus.Enterprise Skills You'll Use Every DayRequires proficiency in customer focus, change & innovation, critical thinking, relationship building & influencing, talent management, results focus and inspirational leadership.QualificationsMinimum Required7+ Years Progressive experience in software engineering/enterprise architecture/technology leadership across multiple products, systems and/or platforms coupled with strong business acumen and executive presence.CMDB knowledge and understanding required.Experience in software design and development for enterprise systems functioning in a Service-Oriented Architecture environment where the enterprise includes customer account maintenance UIs, web, point of sale, billing, middleware, handset applications, IVR, product catalogs, and data warehouses.Experience in creating documents that convey enterprise-wide technical solutions for business, marketing and IT-sponsored projects to software developers, management, vendors, and business teams for cross-platform systems (web, tablet, desktop) with an international user base.Experience in designing solutions for integration between third-party enterprise software and custom-built enterprise applications that support internal customers such as Service Desk, Customer Care and Technology .Experience performing technical design in support of cross-platform user interface applications (web, tablet, desktop) for over 1000 concurrent users.Experience performing technical design using API-first design principles.Experience in mentoring technical analysts.Experience defining team process and standards.Proven experience mentoring others.DesiredStrong knowledge in ServiceNow and CMDB methodology and roadmaps.EducationMinimum RequiredBachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) and 7 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate relevant work experience.In lieu of a degree, 14+ years of relevant work experience may be considered.The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is based in Colorado is generally within the range of $75,000 to $150,000 for annual base salary. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range. Employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of an employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.Essential Functions• Act as the primary point of coordination for the approach and requirements definition responsible for driving SACM development activities, process maturity, and efficiency.• Collaborate with the Service Management Solution team and architect lead to evolve the CMDB model for emerging technologies and future initiatives• Implement automation mechanisms to maintain accuracy of the Configuration management database ensuring it is user friendly access• Implement identified critical success factors, KPIs and controls to provide analytics with a level of simplicity for usefulness with all levels of the organization• Implement effective and efficient processes for keeping the data current, complete, and accurate• Understands the business drivers and needs of SACM customers including process stakeholders and data consumers. Translates business needs to SACM solutions via Agile development processes.• Provide subject matter expertise related to the process and data needed to execute and improve SACM solution.Technology and System Leads collaborative design sessions with areas such as Architecture, Development, Middleware, User Experience, Billing teams and business owners to coordinate solutions across all impacted systems including customer account maintenance UIs, CMDB databases, and data warehouses. Uses “API first” strategy to finalize service orchestration and other design details.Project Management Decomposes user stories to enable design planning and prioritization. Provides technical system design recommendations to meet business and functional requirements, while adhering to architecture axioms. Authors comprehensive and technical High-Level Design Package deliverables which include sequence diagrams, process flows, functional and nonfunctional design requirements, and traceability. Ensures that all domain teams are aligned on agreed solution. Proactively identifies and resolves project issues to help eliminate or reduce scheduling or budget impacts. Performs peer reviews for project artifacts and team member artifacts. Continually evaluates design process efficiency; defines and refines design processes and enterprise standards.Relationship and People Management Collaborates with business partners to elicit complete business requirements in an agile framework. Mentors and leads other analysts in T-Mobile process and design methodologies.
