Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care rehab services unit, requiring pediatric and orthopedic experience.

Details

Acute care setting within Rehab Services - PT department
Primarily outpatient care with some inpatient weekend rotation or coverage when outpatient volume is low
Patient population includes CVA, orthopedic conditions (hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, back, neck), and vestibular disorders
Patient load varies daily based on census and scheduled hours
Uses Cerner EMR
Day shifts with 4x10-hour or 5x8-hour scheduling options
Weekend rotation every 6 weeks and holiday coverage as needed

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience required
Current BLS certification (AHA) required
Pediatric experience highly required
Strong orthopedic skills required
Generalist PT skills aligned with basic PT education also required
License required if applicable

Additional Information

Patients are scheduled by department secretary based on therapist recommendations
Department-specific orientation provided
Dress code consists of black scrubs or black collared shirt with khaki pants
Cancellation policy allows for 2 cancellations per 13-week assignment
