Senior QA Tester

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Tester to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web, API, and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software testing, defect management, SQL, backend validation, integration testing, and test automation.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, integration, backend, compatibility, and regression testing for web, API, and enterprise applications.
• Validate application data using SQL, databases, and data validation techniques.
• Identify, document, track, and troubleshoot software defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar platforms.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to investigate and resolve defects.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, requirement reviews, and other SDLC activities.
• Apply software testing life cycle (STLC) methodologies and industry best practices.
• Use automated testing tools and frameworks to support test automation and improve testing efficiency.
• Analyze test results, identify quality risks, and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Support release validation and ensure applications meet functional and quality requirements.
• Mentor junior QA team members and provide guidance on testing practices, tools, and processes.
• Maintain accurate test documentation and provide clear status updates on testing activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Experience testing web, API, and enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, Agile development practices, and STLC processes.
• Experience with functional, integration, backend, compatibility, regression, and data validation testing.
• Working knowledge of SQL, databases, and data validation techniques.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of automated testing tools and test automation frameworks.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience mentoring or providing guidance to junior QA team members.
• Software testing certification such as ISTQB, CSTE, or similar is preferred.
