Lateral Attorney Tax Credit Finance

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced lateral attorney to join its Tax Credit Finance practice in Cleveland, OH. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a variety of transactional matters, including tax, energy, debt, and equity financing, as well as real estate. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced partners in a growing practice that handles deals nationwide involving partnerships, corporations, tax credits, real estate, and secured lending. Duties Address sophisticated legal issues. Draft and negotiate financing agreements. Review associated diligence. Communicate effectively and professionally. Engage in creative problem‑solving. Apply critical thinking with attention to detail. Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff. Work with urgency while meeting deadlines. Commit to achieving client goals. Requirements Active bar license in good standing in the locality of the office. Minimum of 6 years’ experience in tax credits, partnerships, corporations, real estate, or secured lending. Preference for candidates with a portable book of business. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction. Skills Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills. Proficiency in drafting and negotiating agreements. Strong oral and written communication skills.
