Boise Centre, Idahos premier convention center, is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Communications Coordinator to help shape how we tell our story! In this role, youll collaborate with the Marketing team to promote Boise Centres events, services, and brand through engaging written, visual, and digital content. Located in the heart of vibrant downtown Boise, Boise Centre features 86,000 square feet of modern, flexible event space with exceptional catering, advanced audiovisual services, and breathtaking views of the Boise Foothills. As Idahos largest convention and event venue, we host hundreds of local and national gatherings each year that inspire connection and creativity.

Compensation
  • Starts at $23.30/hr, varies with experience.
Note: This is an onsite position in Boise, Idaho with standard hours of MondayFriday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional flexibility needed based on business needs. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided.

What Youll Do
  • Create and schedule social media content that promotes events, services, and brand awareness.
  • Write and edit marketing and communication materials such as website content, newsletters, e-blasts, articles, and blog posts.
  • Develop and update visual content including graphics, photos, and short videos for Boise Centres digital and print platforms.
  • Support photography and videography projects, coordinating with vendors and capturing event images as needed.
  • Manage and organize the digital image and video library, ensuring media is properly formatted for use across platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to execute Boise Centres annual marketing and communications plan.
  • Assist with public relations efforts, including media coordination and brand representation.

What Were Looking For

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field or a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics, and engagement strategies.
  • Experience with photography, video editing, and preparing media for digital and print use.
  • Proficiency with content management and design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar).
  • Exceptional writing, proofreading, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional demeanor with a passion for high-quality, on-brand storytelling.
Physical & Work Requirements
  • Involves light physical activity, performing non-strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature
  • Constantly involves sitting, using hands and fingers, talking and hearing
  • Frequently involves standing and walking
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling and twisting
  • Occasional reaching and use of ladders, stools, and stairs
  • Occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels
  • Occasionally required to travel
  • Occasionally required to work long hours, weekends, evenings, and holidays
Must be willing to work outside of normal business hours, long hours, weekends, evenings, overnights, and holidays

Compensation details: 23.3-23.3 Hourly Wage
