Registered Nurse - Medical Step Down Unit

Night shift: 12 hours on a 4-day rotation.

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for our Medical Step Down Unit. The unit consists of 16-20 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1 to 4. This role includes providing care for patients suffering from medical conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical Step Down Unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to create comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health management and treatment options.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
