Ocean Import Coordinator (456642) Southampton, England Salary: GBP30000 - GBP38000 per annum Job Title: Ocean Import Coordinator Location: Southampton Salary: Up to £38,000 The Role Our client is a well-established freight forwarding and logistics provider seeking an experienced Ocean Import Coordinator to join their Southampton office. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in ocean freight imports and customs clearance to become part of a busy and growing operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing ocean import shipments from origin through to final delivery, ensuring all operational, customs, and customer service requirements are met. This role requires someone who has a thorough understanding of the end-to-end ocean import process, strong customs entry experience, and the ability to build effective relationships with customers, shipping lines, overseas agents, and transport providers. Key Responsibilities Manage ocean import shipments from start to finish. Complete and submit customs entries accurately and in line with HMRC requirements. Liaise with customers, shipping lines, overseas agents and hauliers Monitor shipments and provide regular updates to customers. Ensure all import documentation is accurate and compliant. Arrange customs clearance and final delivery of cargo. Resolve operational issues and ensure shipments move smoothly. Requirements 5+ years experience in ocean imports within a freight forwarding environment. Experience with a UK based freight forwarder Strong customs entries experience is essential. Good understanding of the full ocean import process from origin through to final delivery. Knowledge of UK customs procedures and import documentation. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple shipments. #J-18808-Ljbffr
