Hotel Sales Manager

Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain connections with important group and catering accounts in order to maintain and expand our market share • Plan and compile the department budget in accordance with the hotel's overall sales objectives and strategy, with the assistance of the director of sales and marketing • Represent property at appropriate travel industry trade shows and conferences while adhering to the guidelines of the marketing plan and budget • Generate new business, close deals, and increase revenue by cold calling, on-site visits and sales tours, and community networking • Analyze local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads Qualifications: • Must possess a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business or a similar major is desired • This position requires previous work experience in a hospitality role • At least 3 years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in the hospitality industry • Exhibits superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities • Outstanding organizational skills and time management Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 yearly
