Quality Release Technician

Location: Cornelia, GA
Pay: $21–$25/hour
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 12:00 PM–8:00 PM after training
Training: 1 week onsite NEO, followed by approximately 2 weeks of Monday–Friday, 1st-shift training (details to be confirmed)
Contract: Long-term contract
Travel: Approximately 2x/month to Athens, GA
Employment Type: Contract, Non-Exempt / Hourly
Industry: Pharmaceutical / Healthcare Manufacturing

About the Opportunity

Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a  Quality Release Technician to support the Quality Control organization of a leading global healthcare and pharmaceutical company in Cornelia, GA. This role is ideal for an early-career science or technology professional interested in  GMP, quality control, laboratory operations, and finished-product release .

The Quality Release Technician will support day-to-day quality activities, including reviewing production batch records, completing lot release documentation, maintaining quality records, and supporting the release of finished goods for distribution.

Responsibilities
  • Review production batch records for compliance with quality system policies and procedures.
  • Release finished goods for distribution.
  • Complete lot release documentation.
  • Review records for completeness and verify that required documentation has been fulfilled.
  • Collect and store retain samples.
  • Tag approved product, as applicable.
  • Maintain, archive, scan, and organize quality records.
  • Assist with sample receipt and management of laboratory supplies and materials.
  • Test finished-goods samples under general supervision.
  • Review quality analysis results and report issues as required.
  • Collect and compile data related to recurring product defects and quality issues.
  • Review raw material inspection logs and identify consistent failures.
  • Gather information regarding defective products and materials.
  • Monitor internal and external complaints and compile data for reporting.
  • Support process improvement, LEAN, and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Communicate with team members and management regarding quality-related issues or opportunities.
  • Follow GMP, quality system, environmental, health, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate manual and electronic documentation.
  • Utilize applicable quality and computer systems, including Compliance Wire and ADAPTIV, as needed.
  • Use laboratory/test equipment such as gauges and microscopes, where applicable.
  • Consistently meet training and work-performance requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Science, Technology, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of work experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in an FDA-regulated environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and statistical problem-solving abilities.
  • Intermediate or advanced computer and database management skills.
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment, including copiers and scanners.
  • Ability to learn and apply operating procedures and related computer systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Work Environment & Requirements
  • Ability to work a Tuesday–Saturday schedule after completion of training.
  • Overtime may be required based on business needs.
  • Ability to work onsite in Cornelia, GA.
  • Approximately 2 trips per month to Athens, GA.
  • Ability to follow GMP, quality, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Safety glasses and other PPE may be required.
  • Ability to perform computer entry and repetitive hand motions.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift/carry light to medium materials as required.
