Junior Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager

Trueline's client, a growing commercial construction contractor specializing in exterior building systems throughout New England, is seeking a Junior Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager to join their team in the Greater Boston / Southern New Hampshire area. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career construction professional to gain hands-on exposure to project management, estimating, purchasing, and field operations while working alongside experienced industry leaders. What You'll Do as the Junior Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager: Support Project Managers with day-to-day coordination of commercial construction projects Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation Assist with procurement, purchasing, and material tracking Monitor project schedules, deliveries, and key milestones Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project records Maintain organized and accurate project documentation Coordinate communication between field personnel, vendors, subcontractors, and clients Utilize construction management software and Microsoft Excel to track project information Participate in periodic site visits to gain field experience and support project execution Learn estimating, budgeting, and project management processes from senior team members Help identify and address project issues before they affect schedule or budget performance Must-Haves as the Junior Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to learn quickly and take ownership of assigned responsibilities Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable work style Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications Valid driver's license Ability to read and interpret construction drawings or demonstrate aptitude to learn Basic construction math skills and analytical thinking Nice-to-Haves as the Junior Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field Internship, co-op, or entry-level experience in construction or project coordination Exposure to commercial construction projects Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software Background in exterior envelope, siding, roofing, waterproofing, glazing, or related construction trades Military experience with demonstrated leadership, organization, and accountability Our Client Offers: Competitive base salary of $50,000 - $70,000 depending on experience Mileage reimbursement Direct mentorship from experienced construction leaders Exposure to all phases of commercial construction projects Hands-on training across project management, estimating, procurement, and field operations Clear advancement opportunities into Project Management Growing organization with long‑term career potential Developing benefits package as the company continues to expand Trueline and its clients are unabashed equal‑opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
