Transdev in Canby, Oregon is hiring a Dispatcher. The Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to the clients. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. Pay $20.50 per hour (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Pay Rate) Starting pay $20.50 with progression to $31.00 over 5 years. Benefits Vacation: up to 14 days per year Paid Sick Leave: 8 hrs. monthly full‑time employees / 5 hrs. monthly part‑time employees Holidays: 14 days Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, voluntary long‑term disability Key Responsibilities Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, ensuring route begins on time, monitoring performance, incidents, etc. Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips, including no shows, cancellations and missed trips. Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators, acting as liaison between the carrier and emergency services. Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service. Other duties as required. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree preferred. 3–5 years of dispatching experience. Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills. Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsement. Problem‑solving and analytical skills. Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable; DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason. Physical Requirements The essential functions of this position require the ability to: Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions – 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations. Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces. Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
