Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse Tupelo, Mississippi. This position involves providing acute care in a busy trauma and emergency setting. The nurse will be responsible for managing critical care drips, starting IVs, ventilator management, arterial and central line management, as well as performing lab draws, blood cultures, intubations, and EKG interpretations. The assignment requires flexibility for floating to various units within the facilitys competencies and adherence to strict scheduling needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evening shifts with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current Mississippi licensure, at least 2 years recent Emergency Room experience, prior travel experience, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), fingerprinting process to begin within 48 hours of offer acceptance, and completion of all licensing and certification requirements at the time of submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or with 400+ bed facilities is highly preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required as needed.
• Additional Information: All travelers are required to float to units within their competencies. This hospital requires complete availability and flexibility with scheduling. Candidates must be able to work on specific dates, including 12/24 or 12/25, and 12/31 or 1/1. All HCPs will be required to take and pass an EKG/Dysrhythmia competency verification. The patient care modality includes trauma, cardiac, stroke, COPD, asthma, RSV, and abdominal pain. Scrubs: Navy Blue (not provided). No on-call schedule.
