Our culture is rooted in our core values: Get It Done Ride the Wave Add Value Exhibit Passion Position Senior Property Accountant Department: Accounting • Reports to: Finance & Treasury Manager • Location: 100% In‑Office (Chicago Loop) • Job type: Full‑Time Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $85k‑$110k (commensurate with experience) Eligible for year‑end and performance‑based bonuses 401(k) participation, PTO, holidays Health and dental insurance Position Overview As a Senior Property Accountant at Clear Investment Group, you will be an integral part of a high‑performing team within a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment. This role offers exposure to all facets of real estate investment—from accounting and financial reporting to deal underwriting and asset management. Key Responsibilities Lead full‑cycle month‑end close processes, including journal entries, general ledger management, and financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual). Manage Yardi workflows, including invoice processing via PayScan and utility expense oversight through Yes Energy. Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and independent variance analyses to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. Oversee company‑wide expense management, including spend tracking, user onboarding, and compliance reporting. Develop and enhance internal control procedures and financial policies to drive consistency and transparency. Reconcile complex accounts, including bank, GL, intercompany transactions, amortization schedules, and real estate tax payments. Partner with property management teams to address operational accounting challenges and streamline reporting. Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure timely K‑1 distributions and adherence to filing deadlines. Support annual audits by preparing deliverables and coordinating with auditors. Conduct ad hoc analyses and provide financial insights to support executive decision‑making. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred, but not required) 5+ years of accounting experience; real estate experience strongly preferred Proficiency in month‑end close procedures and financial statement preparation Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities in a fast‑paced setting Experience with Yardi software is a significant plus Why Clear Investment Group?
