Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart specialty position located in an acute care setting. This role involves working as part of the cardiovascular operating room team embedded within the general OR, performing open heart procedures and related cases. The position offers consistent day shifts with opportunities to assist with diverse surgical specialties when not engaged in cardiovascular cases.

Job Details

• Shift: 8-hour days, beginning at 07:00, Monday through Friday, with same weekly schedule. Call coverage required approximately 10-15 days per month, including nights and weekends.
• Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; minimum of 2 years of experience in operating rooms with open heart surgery procedures; valid drivers license required; willingness to work embedded in the cardiovascular operating room team, scrubbing required for registered nurses.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling open heart procedures, familiarity with general OR operations, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse specialties such as orthopedics, urology, ENT, and general surgery.
• Additional Information: Candidates must adhere to artificial nail policy as it is prohibited in patient care departments. Unit includes 11 CVOR suites with an average of 18 cases daily.
• Schedule: 8-hour days beginning at 07:00, Monday through Friday with consistent weekly scheduling.
• Other notes: When not performing cardiovascular cases, the technician will assist in general, orthopedic, urology, and ENT procedures. Will work on the CVOR team embedded in the general OR. Shift orientation includes one week of department-specific training.
