Data warehouse lead

Position : Data Warehouse Lead Location : Torrance, CA(( Only local consultant in CA)) Duration : Long term Senior resource in a Tech Lead role responsible for delivering a quality ETL work using Informatica in a Data warehousing environment that involves NETEZZA, Linux, AutoSys, Informatica9.5.1, OBIEE11g. Strong Data Modeling experiences, skilled in DW/ETL Requirement Analysis, Informatica ETL Design, Development, Testing and migration to Production. Main responsibilities will be Leading efforts in designing and developing new ETL code that will enable downstream OBIEE Dashboards and Advanced analytics that help drive business value across different parts of TFS (Risk Management, Service Operations, Sales, Internal Audit and others) and analyzing, fixing, enhancing existing ETL code. As an OBIEEg resource as well, the candidate will be responsible in leading our Report/Dashboard, RPD development activities for designing, documenting, developing reports, Dashboards leveraging best practices and internal development standards. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead role in designing, architecting ETL solutions, Data analysis, Dimensional Modeling and ETL Design on assigned projects. Aid in gathering Requirements, conducting Business Analysis, and writing Te chnical Design Specifications. Evaluate and design Conceptual /Logical and Physical Data Models; define logical views and physical data Security structures. Lead the efforts to develop Informatica code, Design, Develop and modify, Informatica mappings, workflows using all necessary Transformations as applicable. ETL performance tunings, Optimization, Code Quality and Standards. Validates and Review the Test Plans and Test Scenarios, Test Cases; verify Test Results. Perform problem determination (root cause analysis), document the source of problems and their resolution. Recognize and analyze trends in errors so as to identify and install long term solutions to problems. Adheres to TFS BI documented Development Standards, Best Practices and Guidelines, ensure compatibility, scalability, and integration with other data platforms. Design, document, develop OBIEE11g reports, Dashboards including RPD, Alerts, Publisher. Will work on OBIEE Administration activities, Security configurations /setups, Architecture, Best Practices in leading a Development team providing guidance / training and taking care of the work reviews. Will Provide creative solutions around visual representation of data for optimum usability Charts, Graphs, Dashboard Design QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM 7 years of experience required in related field (i.e. ETL, Data Warehousing and SDLC); 7 years of experience working with Informatica ETL tool (design and development). Experience with OBIEE11g is plus. Strong data analysis skills, Dimensional Modeling, experiences in designing Star Schemas. Ability to lead and effectively facilitate design sessions with business customers and the BI team in order to derive data requirements and data design information. Need to be very good in understanding requirements for Data Quality, Metadata, Data Lineages, Operational Data Management and provide the Solutions. Previous work experiences in large scale data integration and data warehouse solutions database exceeding 7 TB.
