Learn More at Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, and compliance of assigned department in order to achieve corporate objectives. This role is highly visible, communicating regularly with senior leadership across the Arbor enterprise. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups and cross-functional teams is essential.Duties/Responsibilities:Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of services, delivery methods, workflows and procedures as neededAssesses and monitors the workload of departmental employees and implements scheduling per business needsResponsible for assuring compliance of procedures and processes and will maintain CAP readinessManage or verify that employee compliance is currentManage or verify that employee training is currentTranslate corporate goals into departmental goals to achieve key performance indicatorsServes as an escalation point for staff and clients as neededEnsures staff is performing at acceptable levels and addresses issues of low performance when requiredEngages, coaches and mentors team membersMay be required to perform key responsibilities of departmental employees as business needs demandOther duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple prioritiesEducation and Experience:Meet CLIA requirements (CFR 42 493.1483), and CAP requirement (CYP.08100), when applicableMeet CAP requirements (GEN.53600)Bachelor’s degree or Current certification as Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist or appropriate categorical certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), American Medical Technologists (AMT) or American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB)Minimum of 4 years’ experience in high complexity testing in the designated specialtyRelevant leadership experiencePhysical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Employee is regularly required to talk or hearEmployee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and armsEmployee is occasionally required to lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.Other dutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
