Hybrid Visiting Professor of Ethics

Opportunity DeVry University seeks industry professionals to teach undergraduate and graduate students across a variety of fields. Courses meet once or twice a week for eight weeks. Face‑to‑face interaction blended with technology such as online discussions and assignments. Faculty facilitate student learning by teaching courses in accordance with DeVry requirements. Faculty develop syllabi and lesson plans, applying techniques to achieve objectives. All instructors participate in comprehensive training and ongoing development. Responsibilities Develop and provide students with an approved syllabus that follows a campus template and includes terminal course objectives. Organize, prepare, and regularly revise and update all course materials. Use appropriate technology for online courses, including websites, e‑mail, and online discussions to make content accessible. Model effective oral and written communication that engages students, provides clarity, and improves learning. Set clear expectations by publishing course objectives, assignment/examination dates, and weighted evaluation categories. Ensure that content and material level on exams correspond to the course objectives. Demonstrate consistency and fairness in grading and provide timely feedback. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications A Juris Doctorate or Doctoral degree (with 18 graduate hours in the subject being taught for undergraduate teaching). Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation may apply. Credentials must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an equivalent international institution. Faculty must have subject‑matter expertise and outstanding communication skills. Pay Pay for Visiting Professors is based on level, credit hours taught per 8‑week session, and location. Pay may vary by state. National range: $1,500–$2,700 per 8‑week session. AZ, CA, IN, PA: hourly rates of $22.00 or $23.50.
