Senior Technical Architect – AWS Cloud & Databricks
Location: Remote
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Architect with a deep understanding of AWS Cloud and Databricks to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing complex data platforms. You will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of cloud technologies and big data solutions within our organization, ensuring scalability, resilience, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and architecture of cloud-based data platforms, leveraging AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, EMR, Redshift) and Databricks to build scalable and resilient solutions.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into robust technical designs.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to cloud best practices, security standards, and compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain architectural roadmaps and technical standards for the organization.
- Conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) and pilot projects to evaluate new technologies and solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud computing and big data technologies, and drive their adoption within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing data platforms on AWS, including EC2, S3, EMR, Redshift, and other relevant services.
- Deep understanding of Databricks architecture, including Delta Lake, Spark, and MLflow.
- Strong knowledge of data engineering principles, data warehousing, and data modeling.
- Experience with data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and data quality management.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Scala, and strong SQL skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
