Byron builds AI agents for tax preparation. CPA firms use Byron to process source documents, build workpapers, and move finished work into the tax software they already run, with the accountant in the loop at every step. We're a seed-stage, venture-backed team building for every serious tax practice in the country, from 50-person firms to the Top 100. About the role You'll own a book of mid-market regional CPA firms: serious tax practices with dozens of professionals, real budgets, and much faster decision cycles than the giants. This is a full-cycle seat with inbound support from an events and webinar engine that already produces demand. What you’ll do Run full-cycle sales across a defined territory of mid-market accounting firms: outbound, event and webinar follow-up, discovery, demo, pilot, close. Demo the product yourself, live, on the kinds of returns your prospect actually files. Keep a high-velocity pipeline honest: tight follow-up, a clean CRM, and a forecast people can plan around. Close annual contracts in the tens of thousands and set each firm up to expand. Work conferences and webinars as pipeline sources, then convert what they produce. What we’re looking for 4+ years of full-cycle B2B software closing experience, with a track record you can walk through deal by deal. Excellent discovery and demo craft: in thirty minutes you can teach a skeptical practitioner something about their own workflow. Built for volume: organized, fast on follow-up, allergic to stale pipeline. Experience selling to accountants or professional-services firms is a strong plus; curiosity about how a tax practice runs is required either way. You want a startup: direct access to founders, shifting priorities, and no layers between you and the answer. Commuting distance to either San Francisco, CA or Detroit, MI.
