Details Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patients Night shift schedule of 3x12 hour shifts (18:30-07:00) on a 36/36 rotation Required to work every other weekend and rotate holidays No call requirements Floating required Patient ratio of 1:4 Epic charting system experience preferred Self-scheduling available Requirements Active TN or compact RN license required Minimum 1.5 years of ER experience required AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and NRP TNCC certification preferred 1 year of charge experience preferred Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, and blood product administration Experience with emergency medications, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, and continuous IV paralytics Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Neurological assessment skills, including CVA management Proficient in triage and isolation precautions/PPE Skilled in orthopedic splint application First-time travelers not accepted for this unit Additional Information Must reside 100 miles or more from the facility; local candidates not accepted Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit testing guidelines Drug test must be completed within 12-14 calendar days prior to start, with willingness to repeat testing if needed Contract RN team members are expected to support nursing student clinical education alongside patient care duties General orientation begins on Sundays and includes online training modules American Traveler Job ID P-746980.
