Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Orthopedics Med/Surg position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, prior travel experience, and Charge RN experience.

Details

• 29-bed orthopedic and med/surg unit serving adult through geriatric patients
• High-volume cases include total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties
• Moderate-volume cases include other surgical procedures, inpatient admissions, and 24-hour observation patients
• Telemetry monitoring available on the unit
• On-unit physical therapy gym allows patients to receive PT without leaving the floor
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required as needed
• Charge RN shifts required as needed
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Charge RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — candidates should prepare in advance as study materials will not be provided by the facility
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
