CLO Operations Consultant

The Operations & Middle Office team supports critical business processes across the firm and helps ensure effective execution, control, and continuity across complex operational workflows. Within this environment, the team works closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers to build scalable processes, strengthen oversight, and support the ongoing operational infrastructure of the platform. What You'll Do Design and build internal warehouse waterfall models, including accruals, fees, tests, triggers, and eligibility criteria. Translate term sheets and deal documentation into robust, auditable operational models for warehouse and CLO structures. Lead the operational design of the outsourced WSO warehouse and CLO servicing model, including data flows, controls, reconciliations, and reporting. Partner with WSO and internal stakeholders to implement, configure, and test the warehouse and CLO servicing setup. Define and document the target operating model, including roles, responsibilities, and handoffs across MLP, WSO, trustees, and other third parties. Establish and perform independent checks and reconciliations across internal models and WSO outputs, including positions, cash flows, waterfalls, tests, and compliance. Investigate discrepancies, resolve issues, and drive improvements to WSO setup, processes, and controls. Document processes, models, and controls and provide training and practical guidance to support the internal loan servicing team over time. What You Bring 8–12+ years of relevant CLO or structured credit experience, ideally within a CLO manager, trustee, administrator, or similar environment with a strong operational focus. Deep knowledge of warehouse and CLO structures, including waterfalls, OC/IC and coverage tests, triggers, eligibility criteria, and reinvestment mechanics. Proven ability to build and maintain warehouse and/or CLO waterfall models, with advanced Excel-based modeling capabilities and comfort handling complex calculations. Strong understanding of compliance requirements and trustee expectations, including standard CLO and warehouse reporting. Hands‑on experience with, or oversight of, WSO or similar CLO or loan platforms. Knowledge of LSTA/LMA standard documentation and TRS products; exposure to EUR loans is a plus. Bachelor’s degree required; Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.
