POSITION: General Manager of High-Performing Gym

Location: Lafayette, CO

Category: Operations / Management

Compensation: Base Salary ($60,000 - $71,000) + 1k monthly bonus potential

Status: Full-Time, Exempt

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The General Manager directs all operations and sales for their specific location. You will be responsible for managing the pace and financial performance of the club while ensuring operational consistency and a top-tier member experience.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Team Management (50%): Recruit, interview, and hire leadership positions. Provide consistent accountability through coaching, performance reviews, and talent development.
• Operational Excellence: Maintain a clean, friendly, and well-maintained facility that adheres to all company standards.
• Financial Performance: Drive club financial results, including member growth, revenue, fitness revenue, and labor cost control. Manage the operating budget and club labor on a weekly basis.
• Planning & Strategy (15%): Develop and execute thorough business plans focused on member acquisition and retention.
• Leadership & Culture (35%): Embed core values of integrity, passion, and unity within the team. Be a visible leader within the club to set the standard for member satisfaction and team engagement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience: 2–4 years of progressive management experience supervising at least 15-25 employees.
• Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in the retail, hospitality, or service industry. Management experience in the fitness industry is preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in financial planning, P&L statements, and executing sales and marketing plans.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work a varied schedule, including extended workdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to move about club floors, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to travel by car or airplane up to 10% of the time.
