Business Unit Manager

We are supporting a leading Aerospace & Defence manufacturing organisation in the search for a Business Unit Manager following an internal promotion. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a high-performing aerospace business unit generating $150M+ in annual revenue, operating within a larger global aerospace group while maintaining a lean, entrepreneurial structure.

This is not a traditional department leadership position.

As Business Unit Manager, you will operate as the leader of your own aerospace business, with responsibility for driving growth, improving performance, strengthening customer relationships, and shaping the future direction of a critical product portfolio.

You will have:

• Salary range: $160,000 - $180,000 25% bonus
• Full ownership of a $150M+ aerospace business unit
• Significant autonomy and decision-making authority

Key Responsibilities of the Business Unit Manager

As Business Unit Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Full P&L ownership, including revenue growth, margin improvement, and cash generation
• Developing and executing business growth strategies
• Leading cross-functional teams across Program Management, Business Development, Account Management, and Operations
• Building and maintaining executive-level relationships with aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 customers
• Identifying new business opportunities and securing future programme wins
• Driving continuous improvement across the business unit
• Developing a high-performing leadership team and creating a culture of accountability

Highly desirable experience of the Business Unit Manager:

• Aerospace & Defence manufacturing experience
• Previous P&L or financial ownership
• Experience managing complex engineered products
• Experience working with OEMs or Tier 1 aerospace customers
• Background in programme leadership, engineering, operations, or commercial growth
