MANUFACTURING MANAGER

Purpose

Perform functions to guide and nurture the skills and knowledge of team members to support and achieve company goals and objectives.

Education Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Technical knowledge or expert-level experience with specific processes.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in manufacturing.

Physical Requirements

• Exposure to a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

1. Drive safety - Participate in safety programs and sub-teams, ensure audits are completed on time, implement departmental safety suggestions, identify unsafe conditions, enforce safety compliance, and investigate and complete safety incidents.
2. Manage quality - Learn and understand quality procedures and inspections, assure compliance, and work directly with Quality personnel to resolve issues and answer questions.
3. Lead continuous improvement - Actively implement a continuous improvement environment while encouraging innovation and continuous learning.
4. Lead and develop team members - Manage team performance using data and performance measures. Provide formal and informal feedback, leadership, support, and guidance.
5. Own the production schedule - Anticipate and respond to workflow changes, deploy overtime as necessary, and manage time-off requests to ensure appropriate staffing.
6. Manage the departmental budget - Manage labor and overhead costs.
7. Own operational performance - Be accountable for meeting and exceeding safety, quality, delivery, productivity, morale, and inventory goals.
8. Manage capital needs - Identify capital needs and projects and execute the capital budget.
