Adjunct Clinical And Lab Nursing Faculty MembersGrand Canyon University has an opening for Adjunct Clinical and Lab Nursing faculty members, and we invite applications from individuals who are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with our Nursing students.This adjunct PRN position requires travel within the Salt Lake City, Utah area to directly observe student performance, when scheduled for clinical rotations and labs.What You Will Do:Reinforce didactic content, teaching the knowledge and skills needed for pre-licensure nursingCollaborate with content area faculty to provide expert evaluation and documentation of student progress toward clinical objectivesParticipate in grading written and clinical performance check-offsRemain current with new trends and development in the specific field of nursing practiceMaintain compliance with requirements for program accreditationUphold the tenets of nursing as a holistic profession as well as the pillars of the UniversityTravel to GCU student sites, directly observing student performanceParticipate in and/or support of the university program in all areas including an evident congruence with the philosophy and direction of the institution, and service to the communityProvide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon UniversityWhat You Need:Preferred: MSNRequired: BSN. BSNs will be required to enroll in a GCU MSN Leadership or MSN Education program, immediately upon hire, paid for by GCU ORBSN with proof of at least 9 credits/3 classes in any graduate program OR approved national certification related to the content area being taught. Please specify your graduate credits OR national certification on your resume.Minimum of 3 years' recent work experience in direct care with OB/women's health nursing with a BSNAn active, current, unencumbered, and multi-state (compact) RN licenseMust successfully pass a drug test and competency testingExcellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with students
