Knowledge of methods, materials and equipment related to painting common to schools, assist custodian as directed, light grounds keeping as directed. Ability to carry out both written and oral instruction. Responsibilities may include: Prepping surfaces and painting classrooms, hallways, moving furniture, cleaning and other items to be determined Students will be working in multiple buildings under the direction of the lead custodian and the facilities manager Painters will be expected to work with minimal supervision Attention to detail is essential Some work will be performed on ladders Some work may include light groundskeeping Position requirements: Successful candidate will be required to submit to and pass a background check. All students will attend a safety training prior to beginning work. Conditions : Painters may be working indoors or outdoors, depending on the project Student clothing will most probably be damaged by painting activities Students should dress in comfortable clothing with comfortable shoes Painters may expect to stand most of the day with frequent time spent kneeling, bending and climbing ladders Grounds keeping duties will be performed outdoors. Student should take appropriate precautions for expected weather conditions. Salary range: $15.05 per hour ($15.55 beginning July 1), 7 Hours per day; June 15— August 21 Shift – 7:30 am - 3:00 pm
