CMM Programmer

Key Duties

• Responsible for programming, set-up, and hand-off of operation of the Coordinate Measurement Machine including all aspects of part installation and orientation.

• Participate in the development of CMM inspection methodology for customer prototypes to insure successful manufacturing introductions.

• Determine program requirements based on design and engineering requirements.

• Review functioning of the CMM tools and programming for errors, defects, or malfunctioning.

• Responsible for cross training inspection personnel on proper operation of CMM equipment

• Responsible to undertake routine maintenance, repairs, and programming of the machinery

• Work closely and collaborate with other members of the QC and Inspection team

• Keep the organization updated about latest technologies introduced in the market and changes in the industry standards and specifications.

Education / Background

• Five years minimum prior experience as an CMM programmer in a fast-paced machining environment

• High degree of knowledge of blueprint reading, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), metrology, complex inspection methods and CMM programing and operation (PC-DMIS)

• BS in an Engineering discipline a plus

• U.S. Citizenship status is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Woburn, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
