Job Title Recovery Technician (PRN) Reports To Recovery Technician Supervisor Location Northpoint Washington – Adult inpatient, Edmonds, WA Schedule As needed Monday–Sunday. Available shift times: Days 6:00 am–6:30 pm, Swing 12:00 pm–8:30 pm, Nights 6:00 pm–6:30 am. Compensation $22.00–$24.50 per hour Position Summary The Recovery Technician is responsible for attending to the safety and wellbeing of patients and working with a multidisciplinary treatment team in accordance with policy and procedure. This role supports the implementation of programming and care plans by providing direct and indirect patient care compliant with Northpoint policies for unlicensed staff. The technician actively contributes to the structure of the milieu through appropriate resource allocation and supervision of patients, working in various settings throughout the week, including onsite facility and community activities. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to clinical staff Follow reporting and communication guidelines when interacting with staff and patients Complete paperwork timely and accurately, including daily logs and forms Maintain daily schedules and structure around transport times, meal times, transition times, and other programming hours Provide patient observation rounds and consistent monitoring of activities and behaviors during scheduled shift Attend and actively promote recreational outings and activities, encouraging pro‑social and coping skills Ensure patient wellbeing by creating a positive, supportive, and structured environment; proactively respond to needs to improve outcomes and experience Ensure facility cleanliness and upkeep under leadership direction Assist patients with their needs, collaborating with onsite clinical and medical staff as necessary Facilitate selected activity and education group sessions; document accurately according to policies Oversee and manage safe and efficient transport of patients to and from facilities Assist in orientation of new admissions Utilize therapeutic communication skills and maintain professional boundaries with patients and families Model professional attitude, language, and communication for patients and staff Assist with treatment and discharge planning Document client care and behavior as required in established policies Use de‑escalation skills when exposed to volatile clients to maintain personal safety and program safety Assist counseling and administrative staff in responding to emergency situations Maintain confidentiality according to policies and standards of care Adhere to all company policies and procedures Perform other job‑related duties as assigned Qualifications / Requirements At least 21 years of age Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record 1+ year of relevant work experience Proficient in English usage and interpersonal relationships Ability to implement and interpret department programs, goals, objectives, and policies Strong personal boundaries and ability to build rapport with patients Knowledge of surrounding geographic area for efficient routing Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills, balancing competing demands Proficient in all competency areas including patient rights, safety, and sanitation Preferred Knowledge and Skills De‑escalation techniques Excellent organizational abilities Excellent written and oral communication skills Attention to detail and accuracy Client service orientation (internal and external) Creative and persistent problem solver Reliability in handling confidential material Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization Strong interpersonal skills for sensitive situations and confidential information Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast‑paced environment Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office Suite PRN Benefits Include Sick Leave Employee Referral Bonuses 401(k) Retirement Plan & Employer Match Employees with potential access to protected health information must comply with all procedures and guidelines governed by HIPAA.
