You’ll help individuals build independence, develop life skills, and actively participate in their communities. Assignments are available in a variety of settings, including group homes, day programs, schools, and hospital environments. Hospital sitting shifts are also available, offering additional opportunities for those seeking flexible scheduling.Hospital Shift Opportunities & Expectations:We offer hospital sitting shifts on the second shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) and overnight (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM). These roles involve one-on-one supervision to ensure patient safety and support. Candidates must be comfortable adhering to hospital policies, including working without personal items (phones, books, etc.) and remaining fully attentive and engaged throughout the entire shift.Direct Support Professional (DSP) Requirements:Minimum 6 months of experience in Direct Care or Human Services, or in roles like CNA, Residential Counselor, HHA, Mental Health Worker, Caregiver, PCA, or similar.CPR and First Aid Certification required.Reliable transportation (must be comfortable to travel within the surrounding towns in Rhode Island)High School Diploma or equivalent.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as the role requires.Arbor Associates is more than a Human Services staffing firm.
