Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: 2 years of recent acute care experience in Med/Surg License: Active State Nursing License Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS Must-Have: - Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS - Experience in interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, management of dysrhythmias, non-invasive airway management, and oxygen administration. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical. The shift will be three 12-hour night shifts per week. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, totaling two weekends per month. Requests for time off are limited to a maximum of five days, with no more than two consecutive days off. No requests for time off will be accepted on weekends or holidays. Floating within the facility is mandatory, meaning staff members may be required to work in different units based on facility needs. The facility operates as a Level 1 Trauma Center. All staff must be adaptable to frequent changes in assignment and patient care focus. Documentation will be done using the Cerner charting system. Two professional references are required prior to the start of the position, including one from the most recent employer. Compliance with all required documentation and health screenings is necessary before starting. This position requires the ability to handle various patient diagnoses and participate in interdisciplinary support. The expectation is to maintain high standards of care while ensuring patient safety. This description outlines the essential requirements and responsibilities for the role.
