York Building Products is looking for a Sales Representative who’s ready to hit the road, build relationships, and grow business across Maryland and Pennsylvania .

You’ll be the go-to person for contractors, builders, architects, distributors, and construction pros — helping them find the right building materials, solve problems, and get the job done.

• Build relationships —  maintain relationships with contractors, builders, architects, and construction companies to generate new business opportunities. 
• Hunt for new business — find opportunities, make connections, and grow your territory.
• Know your stuff —  Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and site      visits to support project design and specification.
• Get out in the field — customer visits, jobsites, product demos, presentations, and plenty of face time.
• Win the work — prepare quotes, bids, and proposals and work with our estimating and operations teams to get the deal across the finish line.
• Negotiate like a pro — build deals that make sense for the customer AND the company.
• Stay in the know — keep up with products, competitors, construction trends, and what’s happening in the industry.
• Make it happen — team up with logistics, operations, and customer service to make sure customers get what they need, when they need it.
• Keep things moving — maintain your CRM, sales activity, forecasts, and customer information.
• Represent YBP — show up at trade shows, networking events, and industry gatherings.

• 3+ years of outside sales experience in building materials, construction, or a related field
• A history of hitting sales goals and getting results
• Knowledge of building materials and construction applications
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• A natural relationship builder who knows how to earn trust
• Self-motivated, organized, competitive, and ready to make things happen
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own territory
• Microsoft Office and CRM experience
• Good technical instincts and the ability to learn new products quickly
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout MD & PA

High school diploma required.
