Job Description

The General Laborer supports construction activities at an airport project site by performing a wide range of physical and site maintenance tasks. This role focuses on keeping the job site clean and organized, handling materials and equipment, and assisting with basic construction-related duties to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the construction site to ensure a safe, organized, and efficient work area.
• Collect, bag, and dispose of trash and construction debris in designated areas.
• Unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and deliveries and move them to appropriate locations on site.
• Assist with moving furniture and other items as needed throughout the facility.
• Perform general labor tasks such as sweeping, clearing walkways, and preparing work areas for tradespeople.
• Use hand and power tools safely to support basic construction and site preparation activities as directed.
• Support construction crews with material handling and job site setup and breakdown.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and coworkers to complete daily tasks and respond to changing site needs.
• Adapt to working in both open-air and climate-controlled environments depending on project phase and location.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Myers, FL.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
