Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals; document progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Deliver direct therapy sessions (individual and group) and provide consultative support to other therapy disciplines.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record and communicate progress to the care team.
- Collaborate with nursing, OT/PT, social work, and dietary staff to support holistic care plans and discharge planning.
- Educate residents and families on communication strategies and swallowing safety; participate in case conferences and care planning meetings.

Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Virginia state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Ability to work effectively in a long-term care setting with adult populations
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills; proficient with standard EMR systems
- Eligibility to work in the United States for a travel assignment and willing to comply with assignment requirements
