Maintenance Clerk

Transdev is hiring a maintenance clerk at our WMATA location. We are looking for customer service‑oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. Benefits Competitive compensation: $20.69 – $24.40 per hour Vacation: minimum of 5 days per year Paid sick leave: 40 hours yearly for full‑time employees Medical, dental, and vision coverage after 90 calendar days of employment for full‑time employees Life insurance, 401(k) retirement benefits, and company holidays Responsibilities Manage web‑based maintenance systems Input invoices into the computer system to ensure vendors are paid on time Track and provide sufficient details to management on maintenance purchases Complete and file maintenance paperwork Input information on work orders Put away parts and shop supply orders Answer phones and direct calls Perform other duties as assigned by management Track and input holiday and hours for the maintenance team Ensure overall compliance with various office policies (uniforms, use of electronic devices, phone compliance, meal breaks, attendance) Qualifications High‑school diploma or GED equivalent Previous vehicle maintenance administrative experience required Demonstrated ability to build solid relationships with superiors and peers Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Physical Demands Work outside in varying temperatures, weather, and humidity conditions Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise Drug‑free workplace and ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen Transdev is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
