Assistant Coach, Women's Gymnastics

Job Title Assistant Coach, Women's Gymnastics Department Athletics | Gymnastics Women Job Description Instructs and teaches athletes on the fundamentals of gymnastics and coaches technique and strategy. Assists in the selection of team members and recruiting activities in compliance with conference, NCAA, and OSU rules and regulations. Assists the head coach in the coordination of administrative areas of program management, including scheduling of competitions and practices, travel plans, and equipment. Monitors academic progress of student athletes; audits information from academic support services and ensures compliance with conference, NCAA, and University rules and regulations. Works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged. Minimum Education Required Bachelor's level degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience with a major in physical education or education. Additional Education Desired Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Qualifications Coaching experience and extensive knowledge of gymnastics at the intercollegiate level. Position requires extensive travel during the recruiting process. Knowledge and experience working with NCAA rules and regulations; experience working with a diverse population desired. Ideal candidate will have high‑level gymnastics spotting experience on all four events. Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
