EFT Risk Specialist

The EFT Risk Team monitors exposure limits and overdrafts for ACH and Wire payments, acting as the gatekeeper for Internal Wire Authority requests. This role ensures that transactions are processed in a timely manner and in accordance with UMB’s risk appetite, helping protect the organization from large losses. The position is hybrid, requiring onsite presence Monday through Thursday in the Kansas City metropolitan area and remote work on Friday, with remote candidates permitted only within the United States. Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with a 30‑minute lunch break, or 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with a one‑hour lunch break. Responsibilities • Work closely with internal partners to seek approval for proper funding for Commercial and Institutional accounts.

• Determine risk associated with ACH and wire transfers to protect customers and the UMB organization.
• Partner with clients and internal partners for account approvals and fund transfers.
• Collaborate within the team to conduct risk reviews and develop solutions.

Qualifications At least 1 year of experience in Bank Operations or Cash Management Operations. At least 1 year of experience with one or more payment systems for ACH and/or Wire Transfer, Securities Processing, or Portfolio Operations. Legal authority to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available. Bonus Qualifications ACH Accredited Professional (AAP) Certification. Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP) Certification. Compensation $38,910.00 – $75,080.00 per year. The posted range represents UMB’s standard for this role, but actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other factors.
