Ultimate Staffing has an immediate opening for a Die Maker at our client in Chesterfield, 1st shift, temp to hire, $25-35/hour
Progressive Die Maker responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models
- Build new dies from tool steel and other materials
- Machine precision components using mills, grinders, EDMs, and lathes
- Assemble and fit die components
- Troubleshoot production issues
- Repair worn or damaged dies
- Modify dies to improve quality, speed, or tool life
The successful progressive die maker will have:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Blueprint reading skills
- Precision measuring skills
- Knowledge of metallurgy and metal forming
- Experience with CNC machining and EDM equipment
- Problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and tight tolerances
- 3-5 years as a progressive die maker in an automotive stamping environment
