Work Environment

This remote full-time position allows flexibility and adaptability, enabling you to provide effective counseling to clients while ensuring work-life balance. While the majority of your interactions will occur through telehealth platforms, you will also have access to state-of-the-art facilities at our outpatient office for in-person sessions when necessary. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to identify patients’ mental health needs, utilizing standardized tools to inform treatment plans.
  • Provide short-term crisis intervention services, employing immediate therapeutic techniques to support patients in acute distress.
  • Develop, implement, and facilitate engaging therapy groups and workshops, covering important themes such as coping strategies, stress management, and personal development.
  • Work in close collaboration with a range of hospital departments, including physicians, nurses, and community health workers, to coordinate care and share patient progress.
  • Participate in outreach initiatives to promote mental health awareness, creating educational materials and leading wellness events focused on the community's needs.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in alignment with HIPAA standards and ethical practices, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve patients from diverse backgrounds facing a variety of mental health challenges, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and stress-related issues. You may engage with individuals dealing with life transitions, trauma, or chronic mental health conditions. Importantly, our center emphasizes delivering culturally competent care to ensure all clients feel respected and understood.

Qualifications
  • Possession of an active state-issued license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist.
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to navigate the best practices associated with hospital settings, demonstrating a clear understanding of the mental health challenges faced by a diverse patient base.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating effective engagement with patients and professionals.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices and brief therapy models; experience with teletherapy platforms is an advantage.
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities and caseloads, thriving in a dynamic and sometimes high-pressure environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working in hospital settings or community-based programs addressing mental health.
  • Demonstrated participation in outreach and educational initiatives targeting mental health awareness.
  • Familiarity with clinical documentation systems and telehealth technology, enhancing patient engagement and continuity of care.
