Job Description As a Armed Security Officer - Tactical in Tucson, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service to visitors and staff. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeWed09:00 AM - 06:00 PMThur09:00 AM - 06:00 PMFri09:00 AM - 06:00 PMSat09:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public at a government office location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with established procedures; assist with directing visitors and reporting access-related issues. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and coordinating with appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders. Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities through accurate reports and required logs. Minimum Requirements Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience. Possess an armed guard card or license. A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
