Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shift (Days & Nights) | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit, with potential to float to other units serving the same patient population
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry findings
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Participate in rotating day and night shifts, including every other holiday as expected
• Complete orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations with an acceptable passing score
• Complete annual hands-on competency requirements and facility-assigned modules as directed

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active NIHSS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Telemetry experience with strong ECG rhythm recognition skills
• Experience working in a large academic or high-volume acute care hospital setting
• Familiarity with electronic medication administration and safety assessment tools
