Electrical Technician

Job Title: Electrical Technician

Pay Rate: $25 to $27/HR

Duration: 3 months

Location: Fremont, CA

Shift: 6 AM - 2 PM

This position is for the Power & Energy division.

We are looking for an Electrical Installation Technician to support installation and field service activities within the Power & Energy division. This role is responsible for installing , testing, troubleshooting , and supporting equipment deployments at customer and project sites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical experience, strong troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to work effectively in field environments.

  • Install and configure power and energy equipment at customer locations
  • Perform troubleshooting , diagnostics, and basic repair activities during installation
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams , schematics, and technical manuals
  • Ensure installations meet quality and safety standards
  • Work closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and installation records
  • Support equipment testing and commissioning activities
  • Follow company and customer safety procedures at all times

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1+ years of experience in installation , field service , or technician roles
  • Experience working with electrical systems , industrial equipment, or power systems
  • Ability to use hand tools , power tools , and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation and schematics
  • Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 1 within 15 months
  • Ability to read and understand design and construction documents
  • Must be able to differentiate types/colors of wire
  • Must be able to use hand tools, a laptop, email, a smartphone, and a tablet
  • Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work on-site and travel locally if required

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology or related field
  • Experience in Power & Energy, utilities, or industrial environments
  • OSHA or other safety certifications
  • Experience with commissioning or startup activities
  • Previous customer-facing field support experience
