Assess patients across diverse age groups, employing standardized evaluations alongside observational techniques.
Create individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving both short- and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions focused on communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing.
Work in tandem with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, family members, and caregivers to develop integrated care strategies.
Provide educational resources for patients and families to encourage progress beyond clinical interactions.
Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions in speech therapy, ensuring coherent continuity throughout the therapeutic journey.
Maintain precise documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards.
Stay abreast of advancements in the field through ongoing professional development and collaborative learning with peers.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for all age groups, demonstrating a thorough understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and language backgrounds.
Strong clinical judgment coupled with problem-solving capabilities.
Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and adhering to documentation protocols.
